Operations

Ice Scoop

There is an ice scoop holder designed for holding the ice scoop, which is located on the right side of the bin. Ensure this is used to prevent bacteria on the ice.

Keep ice scoop clean. Hand wash only, do not send through dishwasher.

 

Air Filter

In order to enable the ice maker to work efficiently, be sure to clean the air filter monthly.

Remove air filter from designated spot, use a dry chux cloth to remove any dust or debris. Handle with care.

 

Cleaning

Required Materials:

  • Chux cloth

  • Suma Surface Sanitiser

  • Suma Multi-Purpose Cleaner​

  • Detergent - Suma Light

Daily

Scoop and Bin Door

  1. Use Suma Multi-Purpose Cleaner​ to spray into chux cloth and clean exterior door to ice machine

  2. Spray with Suma Surface Sanitiser once clean and leave to air dry

  3. Clean ice scoop with warm soapy water (Suma Light) and rinse thoroughly. Leave to air dry

Weekly

Storage Bin

The storage bin in your icemaker should be cleaned at least once a week. This should be completed of an afternoon on a day that works for your store.

  1. Remove all ice in the storage bin and place in the bench ice-well

  2. Turn off icemaker and disconnect from power supply

  3. Spray bin thoroughly with Suma Multi-Purpose Cleaner​ and wipe clean with chux cloth. Ensure you go over any parts that were not cleaned properly.

  4. Wipe over the interior of the bin door, roof, back wall and floor of storage bin

  5. Rinse cloth in fresh water and wipe off any leftover solution

  6. Close the bin door and reconnect to power

 Monthly

Air Filter

Remove and clean the air filters every month.

The plastic mesh air filters remove dirt and dust from the air, and keep the condenser from getting clogged. If the filters get clogged, the icemakers performance will be reduced.

  1. Remove air filter

  2. Clean the air filter by using a vacuum cleaner. When severely clogged, use warm water and Suma Multi-Purpose Cleaner​ to wash the air filter

  3. Rinse and dry the air filter thoroughly, and place back in position.

Troubleshooting

Before contacting a service provider, ensure the below items have been checked.

Machine is not turning on:

  • Is the manual switch turned on?

  • Has the fuse box blown?

  • Is the power cable plugged in?

  • Is the power switch on the front of the unit turned on?

Low ice capacity or low efficiency:

  • Is the water supply switch been turned on?

  • Is the water temperature or ambient temperature too high?

  • Is there a heat source near the machine or bad ventilation around the unit?

Ice cube shape is pour:

  • Is the water supply sufficient?

  • Is the air filter blocked?

  • Are the spiracles on the spray bar blocked?

Unit does not run

  1. Bin is full

  2. The machine has stopped abnormally (such as high temperature protection)

  1. Adjust the position of the ice cubes in the storage bin to let the ice chute reset and then start the machine

  2. Press the MODE key on the PC board to reset, the machine starts or starts automatically 2 hours later. Or unplug the unit and plug it back in 3 minutes later

Irregular cube sizes and some cloudy cubes

  1. Spray bar blocked

  2. Machine not level

  3. Water temperature sensor failure

  1. Clean the spray bar

  2. Level the machine as required

  3. Replace temperature sensor

Decreased ice capacity

  1. Spray pipe blocked

  2. Bad ventilation

  3. Too much dust on air filter

  1. Check, if blocked, clean it

  2. Improve ventilation by removing items surrounding unit

  3. Clean the air filter
