Selector: The selector switch displays the different cooking and plate combinations possible on this unit. The right hand option turns both the top and bottom grill plates on and the left will turn the bottom plate on only. The green light will also illuminate when whenever the unit is switched on.

Thermostat: This controls the temperature of the plates. The temperature can be selected by using the dial indicator, which are in 10-degree increments. The temperature should never be set any higher than 240°C.

Timer: This allows you to select the amount of time you would like the item to cook for.

WHS

These machines are heating units, and as with any commercial heating unit the surfaces on these Grills will get hot. Always be careful when near or operating the Grill Station.

PREPARATION

Prior to turning on the unit place the teflon sheet onto the grill station and using the retainer clip to secure on the top plate and the drip tray to secure on the bottom plate

Operating Instructions

  1. Turn both plates on by turning the selector switch to turn both the top and bottom plates on. Set the thermostat to 180°C, the pilot lights will illuminate when the grill is heating up. The unit will then take 15 minutes to heat up each morning.

  2. When the grill has reached the set temperature the amber pilot lights will extinguish.

CAUTION: Please ensure to take extra care when wiping the plates as the grill will be hot.

3. When the toaster press is not in use to ensure both the plates are closed to avoid heat loss and high temperatures in the handles. You can also turn the temperature down to the idle temperature of 150°C to help save power whilst the press is not in use.

4. Place the product into the press and close the plates together and turn the timer to desired cooking time

5. If any excess ingredients or sauce spill onto the teflon carefully wipe with a sanitsied cloth/tongs. Note grill will be hot.

Roband Care

Broken Timers:

This can be caused by forcing the timer to 0 before it is done. It can bend the blades in the dial and your buzzer will stop working. Please let the timer run out to increase the life of your Roband.

Cleaning Instructions

  1. Unplug and turn the unit off. Allow the unit to cool down before starting any cleaning procedures.

  2. Using a damp cloth in warm soapy water wipe down both the top and bottom plates to remove any food or grease residue.

  3. If there are any stubborn areas of build up you can use a green scourer to carefully remove any residue or build up.

  4. Using a clean damp cloth wipe down both plates and the outside of the unit. Dry with a clean cloth and ensure it is completely dry before turning it back on.

NOTE: Do not use any metal or abrasive scrubbers or cleaners on any of the plate. Doing so can cause damage to the cooking plates.
