Chip Dump Operating & Cleaning Procedures

 

 

 

 

Start of day

Switch the chip dump on with the ON/OFF switch. Ensure the temperature dial is set to HI.

End of Day

  1. Switch the unit off

  2. Warming tray must be emptied of any excess stock before cleaning.

Hot Hold Times

Please follow the product hold times below and ensure you are not serving any food over the recommended times.

Daily Cleaning Procedures

 

CAUTION: Before you start any cleaning procedures, you will need to ensure the unit has completely cooled down.

 

Materials Required:

  • Clean Dry Cloths

  • Ecolab VIVA Detergent

  • Container of warm water

  • Appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

 

Cleaning Procedure:

  1. Turn the unit off and isolate from power supply.

  2. Clean the warming tray with a clean cloth dampened with soapy water.

  3. Thoroughly wipe the well dry with clean warm water, ensuring you wipe and remove any excess crumbs from any crevices and folds.

  4. The warming tray can then be cleaned in the kitchen sink with warm soapy water. After cleaning the tray ensure it is completely dry before placing back onto the Chip Dump.

  5. Ensure you wipe down the external of the chip dump with a clean damp cloth and then thoroughly dry with a clean dry cloth.

 

ALWAYS:

  • Ensure Chip Dump has been turned off and completely cooled down before starting any cleaning.

  • Wear the correct PPE and follow the manufacturers recommendations for chemical use, dilution, handling, disposal, and PPE.

  • Ask for help if you’re unsure.

NEVER:

  • Use any abrasive objects to clean the chip dump (e.g. scrapers or steel wool)

  • Spray any water or chemicals directly into any of the components on the unit. Doing so can cause damage to the critical unit components.
